Walkthrough & Ending Guide


While I encourage you to explore the demo at your own pace, here's a walkthrough in case you get stuck!

Helpful Hints: 

Exits are displayed as shadows on the corner(s) of the screen

The frame effect around the edges of the screen will disappear once you’ve interacted with every object in that room.

Note: If clicking is difficult, you can hover over objects/interactables and press -Enter- instead. Regular text can be advanced with -Space-

WALKTHROUGH:

INTRO

Click through text/objects until you get to the room.

SOLAR

Click on the objects (in any order):

  • The windows
  • The painting
  • The scattered letters
  • The hearth (fireplace)
  • The fallen chandelier/chair/broken glass

Take the left exit. 

Turn left and you’ll find a locked door. From here, turn around and walk down the hallway (towards the suit of armour).

WEST HALLWAY

Click on the objects if you feel like it:

  • The suit of armour
  • The banners
  • The snow and broken glass

Click on the door at the end of the hall.

STORAGE ROOM (CELLAR ENTRYWAY)

You can interact with:

  • The furniture
  • The hatch on the floor

Click on the hatch, then click on the darkness or the hatch lid to continue. 

Exit the room, exit the hallway and return to the solar.

SOLAR

Take the right exit.

EAST HALLWAY

Objects you can interact with:

  • The banners
  • The window

Click on the door.

CHAPEL 

Objects you can interact with:

  • The window with the stained glass knight
  • The candles
  • The candlestick
  • The box

Click on the box on the altar to light the candlestick. 

(Note: Even if you opened the box previously, you’ll need to click on it again to light the candlestick)

(If the candlestick is no longer on the altar, that means you’ve already lit it and can continue to the cellars.)

Exit the chapel. 

Exit the hall, exit the solar, take the right turn and head down the hall to the storage room. Click on the hatch and continue through the cellar. 

CELLARS

Click on the following (in any order):

  • The skeletons
  • The knight (take the key)
  • The bird

Exit the cellars.

Exit the storage room and go down the hall to the locked door. 

(Note: You won’t be able to explore any of the other rooms once you click on the door)

BANQUET HALL

Click on the following (in any order):

  • The tables
  • The knights
  • The skeletons

ENDING 1: (Bitter Memories)

Click on either choice. 

ENDING 1B: (Broken Memories)

Click “return to last choice” (or “return to chapter” if you want to explore more.)

Click whichever option you didn’t pick first. 

(Note: reloading a save won't work, you must choose one of the return options)

ENDING 2: (I will return)

Click “No”


SECRETS:

Before getting the key from the cellars, try clicking on the locked door 3 times.
