Part 2 of this wonderful game.

I saw your illustrations on twitter a while ago, which made me really interested in checking this out, but I only sat down and got around to it today. This was such a fantastic experience. As others have mentioned, I definitely could feel some House in Fata Morgana influence (one of my favorite visual novels ever, so a very good thing) - especially with the sound design choices. The music is incredibly effective, and the music/sound design/visuals/UI are all so cohesive.

Really impressed by your work and I will definitely be following to check out future projects from you.

(+2)

I'm really happy to hear that everything, especially the music, worked for you! Thank you for playing!

(+2)

This reminds me of The House in Fata Morgana in terms of atmosphere, background music and sentiments evoked... very beautiful and haunting. I really love this game, please make more! Absolutely wonderful.

(+1)

Thank you so much! Fata Morgana has definitely influenced some of my Gothic style works, haha.

The visual novel, while simple in play-through and story telling, is one that is absolutely beautiful. It takes a simple concept and puts you through a whirlwind of emotions as the truth gradually gets revealed. The art style is lovely and the two endings are ones that fit the story that was set up perfectly - There is no right or wrong way of ending it. It's a matter of how the player (the character) chooses to handle their grief. It only took me maybe 10 minutes, if that, to read through and play but it was well worth it. This visual novel was one I played and am keeping in my collection so I can enjoy it again. A wonderful way of doing a gothic style visual novel.

Thank you for the kind review! I'm really glad that you enjoyed the story and that both the endings resonated with you!

Thank you kindly! :D

Really enjoyed this. The music and language is lovely, I really enjoy the overall tone carried throughout your writing. Descriptive, haunting, yearning. I think more than the shadow being slowly pulled from Sam, what I liked most was the haunting recollection of how it once was - both with Sam and Marie and memories of family long gone. Very haunting.

Thank you again for the kind words and feedback! <3

More eerie than scary, and I like that.

Got ending 1, and woah.

having the same name as the mc is def something

(+1)

Wow! so cute! so 1800s short story that ends up having to be read by highschools, truly very lovely. <3

(+1)

Hello, I played this game and I absolutely loved it! I could feel all the emotions and everything, beautiful art really I'm in love with it, amazing job!

(+1)

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

Since everyone else has covered how great the story is... let me compliment the art and sound design! Delightfully unsettling. And I'm not just biased because I share a name with our unfortunate protag (though that definitely helped with the horror lol).

Thank you so much, Sam! (I got a similar comment from someone else and was wondering if it spooked any other players with the same name LOL)

Sitting by the window searching through the unending indie games.. Wishing to find a new muse to bring forth.. Finally, searching through the agony of my fingertips upon the keys. I download and play the painters suffering.

--

This was a very well designed indie game, especially if it was on short notice due to the time crunches of the game jam. Heavily simplistic rendition with a copius amount of information delved from the text, describing the world around it, and the feelings of the characters thoughts.

I really enjoyed the feeling I placed in myself when reading through the game..

Thank YOU ENDYSIS for the lovely suffering you placed upon us lmao

Wow. Thank you for making this, and awesome narration. I'm honoured, and glad you enjoyed it!

It was my pleasure!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™

Amazing game looking forward to play more of your games

(+1)

Thanks! :)

this was really amazing. I assume that Sam is obsessed with Marie? He scares me, but the beautiful melody of the game helped me stay calm

Thank you! Sam's pov -was- meant to unsettle the player, but I hope the game hit the right balance of beauty and horror!

it really did, its hard to find a horror game interesting as this. Very unsettling, but delightful experience.

(+2)

Very haunting and captivating, this is a great gothic visual novel. I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing!

thank -you- for playing!

Yesterday I spent a wonderful evening. It was dark outside the window, the wind whistled in the branches of the trees, the rain whipped the windows while I played this game and felt as if I were again ten years old and I was sitting in an armchair reading my first  gothic stories.

I admire your ability to strictly withstand style. Nowadays, eclecticism has blurred many boundaries, but sometimes I want to plunge into something integral.

I am happy to follow the development of Kit and I hope that you have enough time and patience to bring it to the end. Then your fans will get even more die-away gothic evenings.

(+1)

Thank you for your support and kind words! Achieving a Gothic atmosphere like that is always a goal for my games, so I couldn't be happier that it brought you that experience!
